This year's Queen and King entrants have raised funds for the Men's Shed, CanAssist, Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network, Lions Club of Young, and Margaret House Refuge Incorporated.
Kate Cruickshank, 27, who has organised fundraisers for the Men's Shed, says she's looking forward to celebrating this weekend with her fellow entrants.
"It's pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow and develop as a person. I've made some great connections and friendships along the way," Kate said.
"For me it has never been about winning. I just wanted to raise awareness about men's health and money for the Men's Shed which is close to my heart. I'm going to enjoy the experience this weekend, have fun with the other contestants and congratulate them all."
Tasman Coulter, 19, chose Margaret House Refuge Incorporated to support women and children in need. She says "it's been an amazing experience".
"It's been a lot of fun working with the other entrants, the committee and organising all the fundraisers for Margaret House. It's definitely something I didn't think I'd be doing this year," Tasman said.
"The parade should be fun. The whole weekend is great."
David Munnerley, 32, has supported Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network and said he's made life-long friends throughout his fundraising campaign.
"I've met a lot of different people. I've also heard a lot of stories from people from their experiences with the event and how it's developed. I've also made lifelong friends in the Cherry Queens," David said.
"It's been really good to see just how supportive the community is. I'm really looking forward to all the events this weekend as we highlight all the Hilltops has to offer."
Laura Ower, 22, raising funds for CanAssist, says it's been a great opportunity to help the community.
"It's been lots of fun meeting different people and doing lots of different things. I've enjoyed the opportunities and fundraising for CanAssist," she said.
"I'm looking forward to spending time in the community this weekend and seeing so many people enjoy the festival."
Brianah Griffin, 19, says it's been a hugely worthwhile experience.
She supported Lions Club of Young.
"It was a great experience. I've learnt a lot and it's put me out of my comfort zone. I'm really looking forward to the parade and seeing all the people come to town."
