238 people tested for COVID-19 in Young

There are 43 recovered cases, and currently no hospitalisations. In the region, 9,530 people have been tested.

In the Young postcode, 238 people have been tested. According the NSW Health, 62 people have been recently tested.

There is one active case in the Cootamundra-Gundagai electorate.

MLHD continues to advise people about some of the simple actions they can do to help keep everyone safe.

"Remember if you're out and about, avoid touching your mouth, eyes, and nose with unwashed (or gloved) hands," said Director Public Health Tracey Oakman.

"When you cough and sneeze cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or a flexed elbow and put tissues in the bin.

"Good hand hygiene remains one of the most important things people can do, remember to regularly clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds using soap and water, or alcohol based hand rub.

"And above all, get tested if you feel unwell, even if your symptoms are minor."

The Murrumbidgee COVID-19 hotline number is 1800 831 099, and people are asked to get tested at the earliest onset of their symptoms.

The Murrumbidgee Mobile Testing Clinic is in Talbingo and Adelong on Friday and will be in Darlington Point and Whitton on Saturday.

MLHD urges people not to wait for a mobile visit, but to call the COVID hotline on 1800 831 099 to book an appointment if they feel the slightest bit unwell.

There is a respiratory clinic in Young where people with symptoms are urged to get tested.
