Hilltops council were successful in the 2019 small grant round from the South East regional weeds action program administered by Local Land Services.
With this funding council were able to install seven new weed signs on major roads within the Hilltops area.
"These signs are a valuable asset for the area, and have interchangeable inserts which will be rotated throughout the year," a spokesperson for council said.
Hilltops council would like to thank Megan Wyllie, South East regional weeds coordinator, for her help securing this funding.
These signs will assist farmers and local residents in identifying council's priority weeds.
Council asks residents to get in touch if they any questions regarding biosecurity.
"We would like to encourage residents to contact Hilltops council's biosecurity office on 1300 445 586 if they have any questions or concerns regarding weeds within the Hilltops area," council said.
