Young resident Cornelio Albino has received a Rural Scholarship from the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation [RASF].

Mr Albino is studying a certificate IV in Vet Nursing while working at a local pig farm.
The RASF Rural Scholarship program provides financial grants of $6000 for full-time study and $3000 for part-time study to assist students who are passionate about contributing to the future of rural and regional communities.
Mr Albino is from the Philippines. He has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and Doctor of Veterinary Science and Medicine from Central Luzon State University, Philippines.
The 46-year-old is studying to qualify in order to practice in Australia.
He is a head of breeding at a local pig farm and he's main areas of interest are breeding and health management.
RASF Manager Cecilia Logan believes all 2020 scholarship recipients are particularly well-deserving and represent a bright future for rural and regional areas.
"It is not an easy task to uproot your life and relocate to reach your goals, however, it is often the journey regional and rural NSW students have to undergo to achieve further education and training," Mrs Logan said
"The Rural Scholarship program was designed to support this journey; giving students the freedom to study without the stress and financial challenges brought about by the need to relocate.
"Each recipient announced today is a tremendous ambassador for country NSW, and we look forward to following their progress as they work towards achieving their goals."
The scholarship program, which is awarded to regional and rural students studying at a New South Wales University or TAFE aims to support those seeking further education with the goal of injecting their new skills back into rural areas.
Mr Albino has lived in Young for the past eight years. He said the $3000 scholarship money will go towards study costs.
He hopes to become an Australian citizen later this year.
This year the RASF has invested over $400,000 in a range of scholarships.
