Owners Tanya Wilder and Darren Wilder were thrilled to be recognised as the best in the business across Australia.
The announcement was made over a company conference call with state dealership winners on Wednesday afternoon.
Honda Australia Dealership Business Manager Glenn Hindle made a surprise visit to Young to congratulate the local team.
"We appreciate the effort the dealers make. To recognise the dealer network from a state level and national level is really great," he said.
Wilders Motorcycles and Power Equipment have picked up four state dealership of the year awards and now one national gong in only 10 years as a Honda motorcycle dealer.
Darren puts their success down to a strong customer network and their long-term staff.
"We have a very loyal customer base. This is a very loyal area which is supportive of local businesses. Our staff, of course, as well. Everyone of our team contributes to this," he said.
After four victories at a state level Darren and Tanya thought they'd never secure the top award.
"I never thought we'd win it. There's some very good dealers across Australia. It's very well received. Some of these guys have been in business for 20 or 30 years and are second generation businesses. We've known a lot of the other state dealers for quite awhile.
"It's great for a small country dealer it's very exciting. We're very lucky it's an award for the local community as much as it is for us.
Darren said recognition will give their team a real boost, having overcome drought and now operating during a pandemic.
"It's a massive award for us. It's nice to have this because it's been hard work during the coronavirus. But this town is standing up to COVID-19 unbelievably well."
Criteria for selection of the award includes a range of different factors relating to the business.
