All indicators are pointing to big visitation throughout the rest of the year with a huge amount of inquiries at the moment at Young's Visitor Information Centre in relation to the upcoming cherry harvest and the pick your own cherries experience.
Wineries and other attractions are reporting strong numbers currently, with the Visitor Centre at Young recording about a 30 per cent increase in people through the door in the first two weeks of October this year from 576 last year to 827.
Staff have noted increased numbers from Sydney and the Central Coast.
Accommodation houses in Young are reporting strong demand and this has been consistent for the last three to four weeks.
Over at Harden, the Visitor Information Centre during the first two weeks of October have recorded equal the number of visitors for the entire month of October 2019 - just over 300.
This year the numbers are made up of people visiting from NSW (two thirds) and ACT (one third) with one visitor from SA.
Staff and volunteers also report strong inquiries at this time for cherries.
Young's cherry season traditionally begins Melbourne Cup Day, the first Tuesday in November.
