Selling agent John R Barton said incoming purchasers have requested that the new business remains confidential.
According to Mr Barton, the business will be "welcomed by the community when owners announce commencement date in due course".
The building, which has now been vacant for nearly two years, did have continued tenancy since it was built by Tom Tester during 1940s for GJ Coles Variety Store.
It traded by the GJ Coles Variety Store company name until the early 90s when it became known as Coles-Fosseys.
It was later established as Target Country, which closed on Saturday, December 29, 2018 due to a lease expiry, according to a Target spokesperson at the time.
Mr Barton announced in August this year that the Boorowa Street building had been sold.
