Jaymie and Joseph specialise in Indoor Plants.
They brought many beautiful plants to show and talk about.
All extremely healthy with countless shades of green foliage and varied leaf shapes and sizes.
Jaymie and Joseph stock multiple varieties of the Sensevieria Species, common names are "Mother in Law Tongue" or "Snake Plants".
These require very little water, minimal care and live many years.
They can also survive in low light.
Some are multicolour with and all with glossy leaves.
They also stock a large range of Philadendron.
These popular plants require a well drained soil.
Jaymie recommends a mixture of part potting mix, part orchid bark and a mix of perlite and horticultural charcoal.
Place in indirect bright light and water about every two weeks when the top half of soil is dry and less frequently in winter.
The trailing/climbing heart shaped climbing Philadendron can reach 10 feet (300 cm) in length.
These plants can filter the gaseous toxins from the air so are beneficial to health if placed in the living area.
Jaymie and Joseph stock many other plants including succulents as well as rare plants and they are able to order the elusive Mlonstera Thai Constilation.
Club Members inspected all the plants and several bought one or two of their choice.
President Joy presented Jaymie and Joseph and their little daughter with a thank you gift.
The formal part concluded with SW Zone Coordinator Helenie presenting Treasurer Sandra with a Life Membership Certificate recognising her fifteen years of service to the Club.
