The Cherypickers head to Wagga on Sunday for the round 13 Group Nine clash.
With six regular rounds remaining, Young is third on the ladder with a four competition point buffer from Gundagai in fourth.
Victory this weekend will see Young share second place with the Bulls.
Tumut has the lead at the summit of the table on 22 competition points, two clear from Southcity.
Young is set to welcome back front-rower Inoke Vunipola this weekend, while Will Dunn has been named on the wing.
The match against Southcity will begin about 2.35pm on Sunday.
Four of Young's five grades will be in action.
