Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke confirmed on Monday evening five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Young up until 8pm.

"I have just been officially advised by MLHD of five (5) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 identified in the Hilltops Local Government Area today, Monday 20 September," Ms Cooke said on Monday evening.
The five new cases brings the total number of confirmed cases in Young to 12 up until Tuesday morning.
"Four are household contacts of a previously reported case, and include a woman in her 40s and three children," Ms Cooke said of the new cases.
"A young female in her teens has also been confirmed COVID-19 positive."
According to Ms Cooke all cases are isolating in their respective homes under the care of Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
"We wish them all a speedy recovery and return to full health," Ms Cooke said.
"This brings the total number of cases in Hilltops LGA to 12, with five cases being cared for in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital."
The five cases confirmed last night will be recorded in today's numbers from NSW Health at 11am.
"Investigations and contact tracing are ongoing to identify all close and casual contacts, and any venues of concern," Ms Cooke said.
With the new cases a number of new venues of concern have also been added, they include:
- Medcirc - Tuesday 14 September - 11.30am - 12.00pm
- Aldi Young - Monday 13 September - 9.10am - 9.40am
- Big W - Tuesday 14 September - 5.30pm - 5.50pm
- Woolworths - Monday 13 September - 9.45am - 9.50am - Thursday 16 September - 12.30pm - 12.40pm
Anyone who has visited one of these venues at the times listed below is a casual contact and should immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
