The Burrangong Bears finished seventh on the Woodbridge Cup first grade ladder and sixth in league tag in 2018.

Whilst the club were sad about missing the final series, its proud of the improvements that have been made and the growth that’s been achieved this season.
Whilst there were numerous fundraisers held at the end of our season, there was one marquee event being the annual charity match.
This year, the Bears played against Trundle in front of a well supported crowd at Cranfield Oval, with the 200th Regional Cadet Unit in support collecting donations for our charity, Legacy.
While first grade were defeated, league tag came away with a narrow victory. Between charity jumper sales and auctions and gold coin donations, the club was able to raise $1000 for the Young branch of the Wagga Legacy.

Mrs O’Sullivan advised that there were approximately 42 widows from the WWII that a committee of 10 locals keep in contact with and do activities with.
The funds raised would go toward supporting these widows and any future families that are affected by the Gulf, Vietnam or Afghanistan wars, supporting the families in need in our community.
Mrs O’Sullivan thanked the club and the community, especially the cadets who have always been very supporting of the Young branch of Legacy.
This year’s Woodbridge Cup was won by Trundle Boomers for a second straight year.
The Boomers staved off a mighty challenge from the charging Manildra Rhinos to win the premiership 26-22 at a packed Jack Huxley Oval at Manildra on Sunday, September 2.
