The championships heads to Goulburn's Wakefield Park circuit for the penultimate round this weekend. While Sargent missed all three races at Sandown, his strong points position ensured he didn't lose too much ground in the title chase.
Sargent heavily impacted the wall at turn six while avoiding a slower car during the opening race at Sandown, and was diagnosed with concussion before being transported to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne for observation.
While the damage to Sargent's Formula Ford was repaired on Saturday evening, medical experts instructed him to remain in hospital under observation, ruling him out of further participation from the weekend.

"I'm 37 points off the lead heading into this weekend, with 61 points up for grabs in each of the two rounds left in the season, so I'm certainly not out of it yet," Sargent said.
"The crash was unfortunate, but it hasn't affected my confidence at all - my crew have done a fantastic job of rebuilding the car, and it will be as good as new. I also have a new helmet, to replace the one that was damaged in the crash at Sandown - hopefully it's good for a few extra tenths.
"Physically, I'm back to 100 per cent as well, and I'm excited to be back on track - if I can win some races, I'll be right back in the game."

- Tom Sargent
In preparation for this weekend's round, Sargent and his CHE Racing team have completed a couple of test days at the Wakefield Park venue, but said he's not expecting to have an advantage over any other teams.
"Wakefield Park is effectively our home track and we've tested there a couple of times, but so have our rivals. It always produces exciting racing, though, it's quite a short lap, but there are lots of overtaking opportunities," he said. The Wakefield Park round format is practice on Friday, qualifying and race one on Saturday, and races two and three on Sunday.
