The weather was mostly kind, except for an apocalyptic hot and windy Sunday, atypical of this time of year.
On Friday the Betty Freck memorial mixed Stableford event was contested by a tribe of visitors and a number of locals.
The winners were Maree Marland and Peter Frecklington with 56 points.
Running up were Chris Eaton and Pam Frecklington with 51 points.
Nearest the pin for men to Mick McDonell with 116 cm on the eighth.
For the women, nearest the pin to Sue Wakefield with her shot finishing 500cm away on the eighth also.
Longest drive to Brad Noordhuis for the men and to Kate Marwood-Craig for the women.
On Saturday, the memorial Kens Cup was contested by golfers with a two-person ambrose.
The winners were Matt Hughes and Sue Wakefield with a nett 60.
Running up were Mark Leary and Brad Noordhuis with a nett 621/2.
Nearest the pin for men to Mark Collyer with 278 cm on the eighth hole and for the women to Maree Marland took out nearest to the pin with her shot which finished 174cm away on the third.
The Saturday dinner and after party was enjoyed by all.
Ellen DeGeneres's doppelgnger made a flamboyant appearance and proceeding through the evening to interview the doppelgngers of variously, Steve Irwin, Crocodile Dundee, Inspector Jack Frost, Miss Fisher, Jenny Dee, Jack Newton, Stephen Hawking, Helen Mirrem, Baaarnaby and the Bananas in their pyjamas and a slew of others.
Ellen, of course, was voted most popular, even without any cars under the seats.
On Sunday, the annual Clover Leigh Cup was contested by Fourball Best Ball (4BBB) with a strong 30 entrants.
The winners with 47 points were Andy Connolly and Pam Frecklington.
Running up were Lester Pearson and Peggy Searle with 45 points.
Nearest the pin for the men to Andy Connolly with 375cm on the third and for the women to Peggy with 420 cm, also on the third hole of the course.
Longest drives to Peter for the men and to Maree for the women.
Nearest nearest the pin over the whole weekend to Mick with the 116cm on Friday.
The results of Monday's event will appear in next week's edition of the Young Witness, after the club plays a single stroke event for the monthly medal of October at 10am.
