David is finalising preparations for his major fundraiser on Saturday night at the Young S and Club where The Young Ones will perform in front of an expected bumper crowd.
David is encouraging the entire community to support the event to help raise money for his charity - Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network.
"It's just about having a good night, raising money and very much needed awareness for prevention of suicide within the Hilltops area," David said.
"All the money raised stays within the Hilltops area. The more the merrier it's going to be great entertainment."
He said he's planned to involve The Young Ones since beginning his Cherry King campaign.
"The Young Ones are quite a well renowned band within the Hilltops area and I thought they're a band you don't get to hear every week within the community. So it's a perfect opportunity to get them involved and get them out and give them some advertisement as well," he said.
Raffles will be held on the night to help balloon the amount of money raised. David said he hopes the event is well-supported.
"From the start, I haven't been out to raise huge amounts of funds. To me it's all about the awareness and it's been amazing how many people have shared their story and journey with me. It's made me aware of just how much we need to raise awareness.
"We've got a long way to go but I think it's got people talking which is a great start.
"A sell-out crowd would be great."
The Young Ones band member Michael Croke added that there'll be a mystery singer, with regular vocalist Danny Milne participating in a charity bike ride over the weekend.
Tickets are $20 and available at the door at the Young S and C Club on Saturday night.
It begins at 7.30pm.
