Lieutenant Michael Hindle has also called for people donating goods to stop immediately.
"In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, part of our responsibility toward safe practice means that we have had to close our Family Stores in Young, Cootamundra and Junee until further notice," Lt Michael Hindle said.
"It is therefore essential that people stop donating goods to our Family Stores immediately. We do not have the capability to adequately handle goods including quarantining goods for three days. Any goods donated will need to be dumped and that would be upsetting for all concerned.
"We apologise if this inconveniences anyone, but we need to be part of the solution toward limiting the spread of the virus," he said.
