First grade coach Mark Mellish has identified the teenage trio as three players he's looking forward to seeing in action against South Wagga at the Wagga Showground. Lacey is expected to line up in the midfield, Brown in the defensive line and Hislop up front.
"They're all only 16. It's going to be really interesting to see how they handle it. My belief is that if you're good enough, you're old enough, and these three are," Mellish said.
With the FFA Cup cancelled for 2020, the Lions have their complete focus on this year's nine-round Pascoe Cup season.
A top four finish would secure a place in the Cup while the bottom six teams will contest the Plate. Mellish says a strong start is crucial.
"We need to bank points early on so we're not determining is this what we need, or is that what we need later on."
Albury has joined the Pascoe Cup in 2020, however their opening game against Tolland has been abandoned due to the Premier Gladys Berejiklian urging border residents to stay put. Young is scheduled to play Albury on August 16.
Young's ladies' side plays in Wagga on Sunday at 10.30am, while men's reserves play at Junee at 1pm.
First grade kicks-off at 3.30pm.
