Christine Wishart Dance Studio has already had an extremely busy year but it’s only just starting to heat up with lots of eisteddfods and an end of year concert to plan.

Since the beginning of the year Christine Wishart Dance Studio students have competed in many eisteddfods and performances with groups, duos and solos, however the highlight according to Ms Wishart the highlight was the stellar week the group had at the Bathurst Eisteddfod.
Young tap dancer Sarah McDonald was awarded the trophy for the most promising junior tap dancer at the Eisteddfod which was held in August while six-year-old Ruby Holt received the 8-and-under aggregate award.

Carly Anderson took out highly commended in tap.
Molly Smithers took out third place out of 17 people for classical ballet.
Addi and Ruby also came in equal third for their solo jazz performances.
Earlier in the month Faith Evans was awarded highly commended for her straight tap/ensemble performance and third for her waltz tap in a highly contested competition at the Orange Eisteddfod.
At the start of last month Team Wishart traveled south to the border to compete in several sections at the Albury Eisteddfod.
During the competition Team Wishart took out wins in five out of seven groups as well as a whole range of other firsts and placings for the Under 14s, Under 12s – including Elisabeth coming in second in the 12s tap championship and firsts and placings for duos and solos.

Moving forward there are students who will be competing at the Goulburn Eisteddfod which is on during the school holidays and this weekend in Young dancers will be able to participate in tap exams.
Once eisteddfod season and exams are over the Christine Wishart Dance Academy will be turning its attention towards the end of year concert.
Ms Wishart said the concert is expected to be very exciting as it also coincides with the 10th year the academy has been in Young.
