Hilltops Council is inviting the public to attend the Riverina and South West Slopes Climate Update at the Young Town Hall on Wednesday, October 30.

Locals can either attend in person or jump online and watch the webinar through Zoom.
Guest speakers appearing at the event will be director of the Climate Change Institute at the Australian National University Professor Mark Howden and senior climatologist in the climate monitoring team at the Bureau of Meteorology Doctor Lynette Bettio who will appear and present via a Zoom webinar.
Riverina Local Land Services officer Michael Gooden will also be there in person.
"With a line-up of global expert guest speakers and question time, this is not to be missed if you have concerns about climate change and the impact of the ongoing drought," a Hilltops Council spokesperson said.
The event will be held at Young Town Hall on Boorowa Street or available to view online via Zoom on Wednesday, October 30 between 9am and 11am.

The update is being presented by Hilltops Council in conjunction with the Bureau of Meteorology, Riverina Local Land Services and the Australian National University.
