Communities across the Hilltops will stop to commemorate during ANZAC Day services on 25 April.
This ANZAC Day we reflect on 110 years since the Gallipoli campaign and commemorate all Australians who have served in times of peace and war.
In Young, the day will start with the Dawn Service which will be held adjacent to the Young Town Hall Memorial Tower at 5:45 am in Boorowa Street.
Following the dawn service, will be the cemetery services held at the old gate of the Young Cemetery, followed by the Young Lawn Cemetery.
This year, there will be a change in the route of the march due to the Lynch Street road works.
The march will commence at 10:45am and proceed east along Boorowa Street, then north along Main Street, east along Lovell Street to Anderson Park Memorial for the 11:00 am Memorial Service. Those taking part in the march are asked to assemble at 10:15 am on Boorowa Street adjacent to the Young Town Hall Memorial Tower.
Young RSL sub Branch's Phil Mitchell said this year the guest speaker is Group Captain Emily Cameron, and they will also are hosting chaplain Matthew Stewart, from Defence,
Mr Mitchell said taking part in ANZAC Day services are important to commemorate the service that has been given, the lives that have been lost and the sacrifices made by those who have served.
The RSL sub Branch will also be attending services in Murringo, Bimbi and Bribbaree.
Across the shire there will be a range of services including a wreath-laying ceremony at Bendick Murrell Memorial Hall from 9am, a service at the Cenotaph in ANZAC Park at Bribbaree, including a wreath laying at 4pm and a dawn service will be held at 6am in Galong.
In Murringo the service will be held at the Murringo Memorial Hall from 8:30 am. Participants are asked to assemble at Murringo Public School for the march south to the Murringo Memorial Hall for the memorial service.
In Harden, there will be a dawn service at Newson Park, from 6am, with the march starting at 10:45 to be followed by the memorial service at 11 am.
Murrumburrah’s service at the Lighthouse Memorial will commence at 12:15 pm. Australian Light Horse – Murrumburrah Light Horse Troop will be in attendance.
Over in Boorowa the dawn service will take place at Boorowa Memorial from 6am followed by ‘gunfire’ breakfast.
Boorowa's march will start at 10:30am and will continue from the corner of Queen and Marsden Street to the War Memorial for the service at 11 am.
